SOTX Over The Edge

This past weekend Texas Iron Spikes donated $1,000 to Special Olympics of Texas at their Over the Edge event. In honor of this donation SOTX sent Texas Iron Spikes' very own Eric Gardea repelling down the side of the Hilton hotel downtown! Giving back definitely has its advantages and Eric was a direct beneficiary of our donation. Special thanks to SOTX for making this event possible! Check out the photos below of Eric going Over the Edge!

Of course we had some Spikes out their in full force helping out with the event. This event is great every year and we can't wait to get even more involved with other SOTX events!

Spike's Semi-Formal

This past weekend Texas Iron Spikes had their first date event of the Fall semester, Semi-Formal. We rented out a boat and floated across lake Austin and witnessed Austin's sky-line from the water. It was a great time and we're already looking forward to it next year!

Alumni Weekend

This past weekend Texas Iron Spikes hosted our Alumni for the West Virginia vs. Texas tailgate. It was great getting to spend time with all the Alumni and catch up with those who had just recently graduated. This was our very first Fall Alumni event and after this past weekend we believe this will become an Iron Spikes tradition! Some Iron Spikes were lucky enough to meet local celebrity, Scott Fisher, and Longhorn Legend and Heisman Trophy winner, Ricky Williams!

Here are a few photos from the weekend:

This was a phenomenal weekend that we are already looking forward to it again next year. We're excited to see our alumni again this coming Spring and also pumped to re-match West Virginia in Morgan Town next year! See you soon Mountaineers!
